What is The Way?

Est. Cavan, Ireland 2012

The Way (Formerly School of Holiness) is a human and spiritual development program for college students (ages 18-29). It began in Cavan, Ireland in June 2012. The Way gives young adults the opportunity to take time out of their regular lives to reflect on themselves, their relationships with others, and their relationships with God.

The Way features The Backpack Program as the primary curriculum resource. The Backpack teaches human wellbeing from psychological, social, and spiritual angles, all within the framework of the Catholic faith. In an interactive learning environment students are taught how to have healthy relationships with God, with other people, and with themselves. Neuroscience, psychology, and Scriptural teaching are combined to create a dynamic and contemporary curriculum in which students are encouraged to see themselves positively, as spiritual beings on a journey in the world.

Christian fellowship is a key component of The Way. Students come from many different corners of the world, and socialising is a natural part of the program. Mass and adoration are woven into the daily routine. We schedule both field trips and plenty of free time to ensure students can enjoy the culture and landscape as much as possible.

Visit our testimonials page to find out what students have said about their experience of The Way.
